Fixing "BOOTMGR is missing" Error While Trying to Boot Windows 7 or Vista

Sudah 3 hari aku cuba selesaikan masalah komputer 'bootmgr is missing' pada laptop yang mengguna win 7 home premium. Menurut tuan punya laptop sebelum masalah problem ini menimpa laptopnya, dia telah bermain "game online" pastu tetiba la restart dan keluarlah message tu.

1. Pertama - Aku pastikan hard disk laptop masih ok - menggunakan hiren boot cd 10.4. Aku dapati hard disk detect tetapi memakan masa yang agak lama untuk explore.. lebih kurang 5-10 minit baru lah terbuka drive C.
2. Kedua - aku kenalpasti fail-fail yang terdapat pada drive C tersebut.
3. Ketiga - Akupun menggunakan pakcik "google sabaik mungkin. segala tips dan cara yang diberikan telah aku gunakan tapi tak berjaya. antaranya membuat recovery, beri arahan untuk MBR yang baru tetap menghampakan.
4. Keempat - Ini langkah terakhir aku formatlah pa lagi... Tapi semasa format proses copy file tersangatlah lambat. Jadi kemungkinan hard disk rosak adalah sangat besar. Proses fromat ambil masa lebih kurang 8 jam. Tapi hasilnya tidak berjaya.
5. Kelima - Aku rasa hard disk bermasalah tetapi masih boleh diselamatkan sebab masih boleh explore (guna live CD ataupun jadikan external hard disk). Aku pun cubalah perisian Maxter HDD speed test yang terdapat dalam hiren boot CD. Inilah first time aku guna perisian ini. Selepas sejam lebih buat speed test, aku cuba explore balik hard disk tersebut dan ianya lebih mudah untuk dibuka.. JENG...JENG.. Satu keputusan yang positif.
6. Keenam - Aku apa lagi terus lah format.. lebih kurang 20 minit selesailah format dan hasilnya "perfect" kata orang puteh..

Jadi akupun dapat lagi satu ilmu untuk service hard disk yang macam rantai basikal berkarat.. susah nak pusing... apapun kita kena cuba dahulu sebelum membuat keputusan hard disk tersebut tak boleh di pakai dah..Apa dah aku melalut ni.. hentam saja la..
Nasihat ku - Jangan hantar komputer yang rosak terus ke kedai.. cuba cari kawan2 yang mahir.. coz kawan2 ni dia akan cuba mempebaiki laptop tu menggunakan kemahiran yang paling maksima. Kalau kedai, cuma nak jalan mudah "ni nak format, ni hard disk rosak mau ganti.." Kalau takat begitu anak ku pun boleh buat..
Apapun kalau anada  menghadapi masalah seperti di atas bolehlah menggunakan tips di bawah.. Inipun aku copy.. paste aja..

If your Windows 7 or Vista computer has encountered the dreaded “BOOTMGR is missing” error, you aren’t alone. If the problem isn’t hardware related you can fix it with relative ease as long as you have a Windows DVD handy.
If you don’t have one, you can create a Windows Vista repair disk using our guide.

Boot off the Windows Vista DVD and then click Next at the first prompt:

You should see a link in the lower left-hand side for “Repair your computer”

The installation process will attempt to find your Vista installation directory. If there’s more than one in the list, select the correct one and then use the Next button again.

Click the first link for “Startup Repair”

The installation process will repair the system, and then prompt for you to reboot.

Alternatively you could have chosen the Command Prompt option instead, and use the following command to fix the boot options only:

bootrec /fixboot

At this point you should be able to reboot your computer, remove the DVD and everything should be working.
